Inglaterra es la principal potencia que no detiene su torneo.
Alrededor de todo el mundo, en casi todas las ligas hay un alto por fin de año, sin embargo en Inglaterra y el Reino Unido se sigue jugando de igual manera. Así al menos ocurre con los ingleses y su tradicional Boxing Day, fecha donde la familia acude al estadio hace décadas, y los amantes del fútbol pueden disfrutar sus días festivos mirando a sus equipos.
Lo mismo ocurre en Año Nuevo, donde el 1 de enero se comienza con fútbol, el país donde nació el fútbol no se detiene, al igual como sucede en Bélgica, Escocia, Turquía, entre otros.
